Nasdaq snaps gains

The Nasdaq snapped gains yesterday after rallying for seven straight sessions. As a result, the Nasdaq dipped 12 points to 2,050, while the Dow Jones dropped 46 points to close at 10,458.

Indian floats largely ended on a weak note. Infosys was up a per cent at $68.75. While Satyam lost 1.72% to $23.40, Wipro finished unchanged at $19.82.

HDFC Bank dropped 2% to $41.12, and ICICI Bank ended marginally lower at $19.29. Tata Motors and VSNL also finished a tad lower at $10.11 and $9.53, respectively. Dr. Reddy's, however, clocked a per cent gain to $16 and MTNL added 1.46% to $6.24.
