NCC surges over 10% on strong order book positions

The company said the order book stood at Rs 20,395 crore as at end of the September quarter.

NCC has surged 11% to Rs 68.20 after the construction and engineering company said in the current year, it has so far secured orders aggregating Rs 3,574 crore and the order book stood at Rs 20,395 crore as at end of the September quarter.

Meanwhile, the company has reported consolidated net loss of Rs 3.16 crore in July-September 2014 quarter as against a loss of Rs 10.19 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous fiscal. Total turnover increased by 51% to Rs 2,572 crore from Rs 1,707 crore over the previous year quarter.

The stock opened at Rs 61.60 and touched a 52-week high of Rs 70 on NSE.  The trading volumes almost doubled with a combined 13.79 million shares changed hands till 1115 hours on NSE and BSE.
