The National Commodity and Derivative Exchange (NCDEX) has delivered about 43,000 tonnes of agricultural commodities so far at the expiry of October futures contracts.
Of the 48,218 tonnes of agricultural commodities allocated for delivery in October, the exchange has supplied about 43,000 tonnes as of now, the exchange data showed.
A large quantity of 35,330 tonnes of mustard seed has been delivered in the current month, followed by 3,360 tonnes of guarseed and 2,010 tonnes of chana. The rest constituted spices such as pepper, jeera and turmeric, it said.
However, the delivery of wheat, soyabean, castor seed and barley has not yet commenced.
Apart from agricultural commodities, the exchange has also delivered 5,210 tonnes of steel long, 110 grams of gold and 480 kg of silver.
In September, the turnover of NCDEX grew by 34.75 per cent at Rs 59,427 crore as against the same period last year.
