Neyveli Lignite has surged 3%. It reported its FY09 results yesterday.
The stock today opened at Rs 116 and slipped further to a low of Rs 113. It recovered in noon trades and rallied 8% from the low to touch the day's high of Rs 122. The stock is trading 3% higher at Rs121. The counter has clocked volumes of around 368,491 shares on the BSE so far.
The company informed the BSE that the net profit decined 25% to Rs 821.09 crore in FY09 from Rs 1,101.57 crore in the previous fiscal.
The net sales, however, increased 19% to Rs 3,554.91 crore from Rs 2,981.65 crore.
