Nickel down 0.3% on subdued demand

Prices were affected as speculators trimmed positions on negative overseas cues

Nickel futures for April declined by Rs 2.70, or 0.29% to Rs 920.10 per kg in 409 lots.     

At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the March contract shed Rs 2.30, or 0.26% to Rs 913.60 per kg in 6715 lots.

Prices were affected as speculators trimmed positions on negative cues from overseas markets.

On the London Metal Exchnage (LME), nickel dropped 0.7% to $16,774 a tonne.
