Nickel down 0.5% on overseas trends

Prices were affected due to sluggish demand from alloy-makers

Nickel futures for March dropped by Rs 4.70, or 0.51%, to Rs 915.80 per kg in 2,453 lots.     

At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the April contract fell by Rs 3.80, or 0.41% to Rs 923.10 per kg in a 818 lots.

Prices were affected due to sluggish demand from alloy-makers in the domestic spot market.

At the London Metal Exchange (LME), nickel dropped 1% to $16,975 a tonne.
