Nickel, tin decline on lower demand

Nickel dropped by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 990 from Monday's closing level of Rs 995

Press Trust of India Mumbai
Nickel and tin prices fell in an otherwise dull non-ferrous metal market here today due to stockist selling amidst lower demand from alloy industries.

The industrial metal was trading flat at the LME, mired near two-week lows as worries about calm economic growth in top metals consumer China crimped expectations of demand.

Nickel dropped by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 990 from Monday's closing level of Rs 995.

Tin eased by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 1,537 from Rs 1,540.

Copper scrap heavy and copper wire bar softened by Re 1 per kg each to Rs 505 and Rs 541, respectively.
