Futures contracts of HPCL, Infosys, Satyam, Reliance and SBI logged substantial volumes today. In Nifty futures, the February contract ended at a marginal discount to the underlying. The contract ended down 0.47 per cent at 1047.65, while the S&P CNX Nifty closed at 1048.35. March contracts closed down 0.49 per cent at 1048.70, while April contracts ended 1047.70.
The turnover in index futures was Rs 208.16 crore.
