Nifty rangebound; Hindalco, Sterlite lead

The NSE Nifty is now at 4,475, and the BSE Sensex is now at 15,076, up 233 points.

The NSE Nifty slipped into a low of 4,454, down 47 points from day's high of 4,501. However the index has now recovered to 4,469, up 70 points.

Sterlite has rallied nearly 4.5% to Rs 627. Hindalco has surged 3.5% to Rs 88.

ITC and HCL have advanced 3.5% each to Rs 226 and Rs 223, respectively.

Jindal Steel and Idea have gained nearly 3% each to Rs 2,870 and Rs 76, respectively.

DLF, Siemens, Axis Bank, Reliance Communications, SAIL and Maruti have added 2.5% each.

GAIL, Reliance Infrastructure, Unitech and Tata Motors are up over 2% each

However, Sun Pharma, Bharti Airtel and Ambuja Cement are the losers.

The BSE Sensex is at 15,058, up 215 points.

The market breadth is fairly positive - out of 2,348 stocks, 1,471 have advanced and 779 have declined.
