The Sensex has recovered around 100 points from the day's low of 16,551 helped by European bourses. The metal stocks also have managed to erase its losses partially. The Sensex is now at 16,647, down 350 points and NSE Nifty is at 4,998, down 95 points.
Among the Sensex-30 stocks, Reliance Infrastructure and DLF have slumped 4.5% each to Rs 978 and Rs 285, respectively.
Wipro, ACC, Tata Motors and Jaiprakash Associates are down 3% each at Rs 645, Rs 864, Rs 790 and Rs 125, respectively.
TCS, Tata Steel, BHEL, Reliance Industries, Larsen & Toubro and Infosys have declined 2-3% each.
While Hindalco, HUL and Bharti Airtel are up 0.5% each on the BSE.
The market breadth is extremely positive, out of 2,754 shares traded, 2,2027 have declined and 651 have advanced so far on the BSE.
All the sectoral indices are still in red, IT index is now the major dragger, down 2.5% at 5,117. The metal index has recovered partially and is now 1% down.
The BSE midcap and the smallcap indices are down 1.5% each.
