Nifty up 107pts; Rel Infra gains 6%

The NSE Nifty is up 107 points at 4,095.

Reliance Infrastructure has zoomed nearly 6% to Rs 799.

ICICI Bank has soared over 5% to Rs 624. Jaiprakash Associates and ITC have gained 4.8% each at Rs 165 and Rs 180, respectively.

Maruti, HDFC Bank and Reliance Communications have rallied around 4.5% each to Rs 594, Rs 1,046 and Rs 433, respectively.

Tata Motors, TCS and BHEL have surged over 4% each to Rs 392, Rs 861 and Rs 1,560, respectively.

Bharti Airtel and Grasim have moved up nearly 4% each to Rs 740 and Rs 1,732, respectively.

HDFC and DLF have advanced 3.3% each to Rs 2,079 and Rs 444, respectively. Ambuja Cements has added 3% to Rs 77.

 

Larsen & Toubro, ONGC and Mahindra & Mahindra are up 2.8% each at Rs 2,468, Rs 896 and Rs 530, respectively.

Hindalco has slipped over 1% to Rs 144.

The market breadth is extremely positive - out of 2,227 stocks traded, 1,725 have advanced, 450 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
