ICICI Bank, Hindustan Unilever and Tata Steel have advanced 3.7% each to Rs 623, Rs 209 and Rs 662, respectively.
ITC and ONGC have gained 3.3% each at Rs 176 and Rs 905, respectively.
Grasim and DLF are up over 3% each at Rs 1,745 and Rs 427, respectively.
Reliance Communicaitions (RCom) has slipped nearly 2% to Rs 430. Tata Motors has shed 1.5% at Rs 395.
