Nikkei gains in morning trades

Asian markets are mixed this morning but the Japanese markets have surged.

Nikkei has gained 1.8% at 9,470. Hang Seng, however, is soft at 21,677.

The Shanghai Composite has dropped 0.7% to 2,669. Seoul Composite is marginally in red.

The Straits Times and the Taiwan Weighted have added marginally in morning trades at 3,056 and 8,142, respectively.
