National Multi Commodity Exchange saw the largest delivery ever on the exchange during January 2013. It was 1606 tonnes as against 890 tonnes in January 2012, thus an increase of 80.45 per cent.
The producers and suppliers have benefitted by giving huge delivery on the exchange because exchange price was more attractive. The table below shows the delivery during the month of January 2013 as compared to earlier years. NMCE has certified warehouse of Central Warehousing Corporation [CWC] for delivery of Rubber in Kerala near all the producing areas at Aluva, Ernakulum, Kakkanad, Kakkancherry, Kozhikode, Palakkad, Piravom and Thrissur.
The stock position as on 30th January has reached to 7148 tones out of which 428 tones is in plastic packing, exchange informed. NMCE has formed an independent team of quality experts for periodical check of the quality of rubber in the exchange certified warehouses consisting of Rubber Board quality expert, regional officer of CWC and NMCE representative.
This team submits the independent quality reports and also guides all the warehouse managers and their staff on quality.
