To enhance protection of investor interests, the National Stock Exchange (NSE) has launched a new facility that would provide clients with details of their respective transactions through SMSes and e-mails on a daily basis.

The facility would help investors to verify details about their daily trades, directly from the stock exchange.

"A client who registers his cell number and e-mail address on the NSE website will now be sent details, about his trades conducted in the course of the day, the same evening," the NSE said in a statement today.

Till now, clients had to log on the website and were provided the details on the day after the trade was conducted.

"All investors who are registered on the Exchange website would receive an SMS on the designated mobile number at the end of each trading day, giving a summation of the trading activity," the statement said.

Besides, an e-mail would also be sent to the clients.

If a client is trading with more than one broker, they will be sent details for all the trading accounts.

The NSE had facilitated trading through mobiles in September last year.
