The Wholesale Debt Market (WDM) segment of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) today witnessed a total turnover of Rs 2,542.99 crore in 130 trades.
Top securities (non-repo) traded at the WDM were, the The 91-days treasury bills (issue no.150711), which traded at Rs 865 crore at weighted yield of 7.13%, the 6.85% government securities maturing in 2012, which traded at Rs 365 crore at weighted yield of 7.58% and the 7.40% government securities maturing in 2012, which traded at Rs 355 crore at weighted yield of 7.65%.
During the week ended today, the total turnover was Rs 6,351.77 crore and the total number of trades during the week at 254.
The highest amount of trade during the week was at Rs 2,542.99 crore today, while the lowest volume was Rs 1,374.80 crore as on Apr 13.
This week, the weighted yield on government securities with a maturity period of 0-3 years, 3-7 years, 7-10 years and more than 10 years was quoted at 7.58%, 8.00%, 7.87% and 8.19%, respectively.
The weighted yields on treasury bills maturing within 90 days was 6.90%, it was 7.15% for bills of 91-182 days tenure and 7.47% for bills of 183-365 days' tenure.
During the week, the cumulative value of government securities, treasury bills and state government securities traded on the WDM was Rs 4,177.98 crore, while that of non-government securities was Rs 2,173.79 crore, representing 65.78% and 34.22% of the total traded value, respectively, the NSE release said.
