India's premier stock exchange, the National Stock Exchange (NSE) will organise a day-long technology summit for BFSI sector on April 22 in Mumbai.

'The NSE Futures Tech Summit 2014' is expected to help the Banking, Financial services and Insurance (BFSI) sector strengthen their businesses through the use of appropriate technology, finding solutions to complex problems (as most of these organisations deal with a deluge of data) and helping the organisations focus on improving returns on investments, NSE said in a statement here.

Some of the key speakers will be Mark Moorman, a Senior Director at SAS in the EMEA and AP region, Kevin Covington, who has experience in the financial services technology industry and specialising in creating innovative solutions for complex problems and Umesh Bellur, IIT Mumbai, who would talk on cloud computing as an enabler and the effective uses it can be put to, for enhancing business and benefiting market participants.

Some of the key issues that are to be discussed include real time monitoring for proactive actions and risk management with effective supervisory oversight

The tech summit is another initiative by the NSE to provide thought leadership and give exposure to tech vendors, member brokers, companies and financial institutions to the latest emerging technology trends, the bourse said.
