Nucleus Software Exports has surged nearly 10% to Rs 148, also its 52-week high on the BSE, on reporting more than doubled consolidated net profit at Rs 23.38 crore for the quarter ended December 2013 (Q3). The small-sized IT software products maker had profit of Rs 10.94 crore in September 2013 quarter and Rs 12.32 crore in a year ago quarter.
The company’s income from operations grew by 9.4% at Rs 89.96 crore on sequential basis, while total expenditure increased 1.7% at Rs 72.30 crore over the previous quarter, according to BSE filing.
The stock opened at Rs 141 and hit a low of Rs 140 so far on the BSE. A combined 169,235 shares changed hands on the counter till 1020 hours on the BSE and NSE.
