Shares of Nucleus Software Exports have surged 13% to Rs 222 on the NSE after the company reported a strong 63% quarter-on-quarter growth in operating profit at Rs 24.75 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 2015 (Q4). The IT software products firm had reported operating profit of Rs 15.15 crore in the December 2014 quarter.
Operational income increased by 17% at Rs 109 crore over the previous quarter.
Net profit during the quarter under review grew by 5% at Rs 20.64 crore sequentially on account of higher tax outgo and lower other income.
The company said it won 6 new product orders worldwide and 12 product implementations successfully went live across the world during the quarter.
The stock opened at Rs 210 and hit a high of Rs 225 on the NSE. The trading volumes on the counter nearly doubled, with a combined 416,567 shares changing hands till 0945 hours on the NSE and BSE.
