October futures up

Derivatives Report

 October Nifty futures rose 47.05 points to close at 1,522.40 while the NSE S&P CNX Nifty settled at 1,506.05. Open interest in October series fell by 38,600 shares.

 November Nifty futures climbed 44.95 points to settle at 1,525.10. The open interest rose by 76.52 per cent (367,600 shares).

 In Nifty options, the top traded option was October call at 1,500. Among the calls, the top traded were at strikes of 1490 and 1520. Puts that were in demand were at strikes of 1500 and 1480.

 Nifty futures saw a trading volume of Rs 3,410.99 crore arising out of 114,608 contracts. The total turnover on National Stock Exchange
