Due to less rainfall, the overall oilseeds production estimates in the current kharif season are likely to be revised downwards by one million tonne. According to the initial estimate 12.5 million tonne production was expected.
However, industry sources predict that the output would still be more than the last kharif output of 11.09 million tonne, by 1.5-2 million tonne.
