Reliance Industries, ONGC, Tata Steel hit 52-week low

GMDC, Hindustan Copper, IOB, Uco Bank, MMTC, NMDC, OMDC and STC India from PSU stocks hits 52-week low today.

Shares of Reliance Industries, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), Tata Steel, Bank of India and Reliance Communications are among 258 stocks that hit 52-week low on the BSE (Bombay Stock Exchange) in intra-day trade today.

The BSE 30-share S&P BSE Sensex ended down 654 points at 27,458 and the National Stock Exchange (NSE) 50-share Nifty was down 189 points at 8,342.

Investors lost Rs 158,094 crore in a single day. The total market capitalization of BSE listed companies declined to Rs 99,66,783 crore from 101,24,877 crore on Wednesday.

Including ONGC, Bank of India and Dena Bank, most of the public sector undertakings (PSU) stocks have touched their respective 52-week lows on the BSE. The list includes, Engineers India, GMDC, Hindustan Copper, Indian Overseas Bank, Uco Bank, MMTC, NMDC, Orissa Minerals Development Company and STC India.

Jaypee Group two listed companies Jaypee Infratech and Jaiprakash Power Ventures, Anil Ambani-led Reliance Communications and Reliance Power, L&T Finance Holdings, Delta Corp, Gitanjali Gems, Jammu and Kashmir Bank, Bhushan Steel and Welspun Corp are among the frontline ‘A’ group stocks from the BSE, hit 52-week low.

Lovable Lingerie, Godfrey Phillips India, Venky’s India, Elder Pharma, Andhra Sugars, Dhanlaxmi Bank and KSK Energy Ventures are among few others that touched 52-week today.
