The temporary closure of Reliance Industries aromatic unit may impact the paints and PVC manufacturers. The stock markets have been see-sawing due to war fears and so the current stock price situation does not reflect the event of unit closure.

Reliance Industries ended the day today at Rs 282.20, down a little over 4 per cent from its close of Rs 294.15 at the beginning of December. In paint stocks, Asian Paints up 5.75 per cent, ended the day at Rs 348.05 from its close of Rs 329.10 at the beginning of December.

Goodlass Nerolac which ended the day today at Rs 155.90, is up by 13.75 per cent from its close of Rs 137.05 from the beginning of December. Shalimar Paints which has fallen by marginal 0.76 per cent, ended the day at Rs 25.90 as against its close of Rs 26.10 from the beginning of December

 

Berger Paints, down by 9.15 per cent ended the day at Rs 67 against its close of Rs 73.75 from the beginning of December while Snowcem which ended the day at Rs 15.60, is down by 38.82 per cent from its close of Rs 25.50 from the beginning of December.

Among PVC manufacturers, Nilkamal Plastics which is down by 25.32 per cent from the beginning of December, ended the day at Rs 23 while Plastiblends is up 1.07 per cent and ended the day at Rs 33.

Supreme Industries , which has fallen by nearly 10 per cent from the beginning of December, ended the day today at Rs Rs 81.30.
