Palm oil down 0.8% on sluggish demand

Oil for delivery in June shed 0.71%

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Crude palm oil prices declined by 0.81% to Rs 502.50 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators reduced positions on sluggish demand in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in July traded lower by Rs 4.10, or 0.81%, to Rs 502.50 per 10 kg in a business turnover of 37 lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in June shed Rs 3.60, or 0.71%, to Rs 503.50 per 10 kg in 93 lots.

Analysts attributed the fall in crude palm oil futures to offloading of positions by speculators on the back of sluggish demand in the spot market.
