Crude palm futures oil prices remained weak today and shed Rs 1.90 to Rs 545 per 10 kg, as speculators reduced their positions, driven by a weak trend at spot market on sluggish demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in March traded lower by Rs 1.90, or 0.35%, to Rs 545 per 10 kg in business turnover of 97 lots.
The April contract shed Rs 1.80, or 0.33%, to Rs 550.40 per 10 kg in 118 lots.
Market analysts said speculators reduced their holdings on the back of sluggish demand in the spot market mainly kept crude palm oil futures remain weak.
