Crude palm oil prices recovered by 0.73% to Rs 512 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators created fresh positions amid rising spot demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in July gained Rs 3.70, or 0.73%, to Rs 512 per 10 kg in a business turnover of 89 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in June edged up by Rs 3.50, or 0.68%, to Rs 515 per 10 kg in 111 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions created by speculators after demand picked up in the spot market against lower arrivals from producing regions, influenced crude palm oil prices in futures trade.
