Palmolein oil rose by Rs 30 per quintal in the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today on increased buying by vanaspati millers, driven by a firming trend in Malaysia.
Traders said increased buying by vanaspati millers coupled with higher advices from Malaysia led to the rise in palmolein oil prices.
Meanwhile, palm oil for July delivery increased 0.8% to $1,101 a metric tonne on the Malaysia Derivatives Exchange.
In the national capital, palmolein (rbd) and palmolein (kandla) oils strengthened by Rs 30 each to Rs 5,800 and Rs 5,500 per quintal, respectively.
