Black pepper and jeera prices fell further by Rs 200 per quintal in the national capital today, due to rising supply from producing belts amid subdued demand from retailers and exporters.
Adequate stocks in the market also put pressure on the spices.
Black pepper prices fell by Rs 200 to conclude at Rs 23,100-23,300 per quintal.
Jeera common and jeera best quality also fell further by Rs 200 to conclude at Rs 15,100-15,300 and Rs 16,800-17,600 per quintal, respectively.
Market analysts said increased arrivals from producing belts against reduced offtake by stockists and exporters, mainly pulled down pepper and jeera prices at the wholesale kirana market here.
