Pepper moves up further

Lower stocks led to the price rise

Pepper prices rose further by 0.76% to Rs 34,270 per quintal in futures trading today.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, the February contract rose by Rs 260, or 0.76% to Rs 34,270 per quintal with an open interest of 2,740 lots.

The March contract moved up by Rs 160, or 0.47%, to Rs 33,935 per quintal in 649 lots.

Market said lower stocks following tight supplies in the spot markets led to the price rise.
