Pepper prices rose by Rs 355 to Rs 41,740 per quintal in futures trade today as speculators created fresh positions amid rising spot market demand.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, pepper for delivery in November rose by Rs 355, or 0.86 per cent, to Rs 41,740 per quintal, with an open interest of 1,403 lots.
