Pistachio rises on buying support

Pistachio prices rose up to Rs 10 per kg in the national capital today, largely on the back of fresh buying support from retailers and stockists, driven by the current marriage season. 

Fall in supplies from overseas markets also supported the upsurge in prices. Pistachio hairati and peshwari traded higher up to Rs 10 to settle at Rs 1,110-1,230 and Rs 1,355-1,410 per kg, respectively.

Analysts said increased demand from retailers and stockists, driven by the ongoing marriage season against fall in supplies from overseas markets pushed up pistachio prices.
