The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) sensex snapped its four-session losing streak today and closed 22.27 points higher at 2,952.78 on the back of buying in PSU stocks.
Dealers said, buying in PSU stocks picked up after prime minister Atal Behari Vajpayee spoke strongly in favour of the reforms process. Overall, gainers outnumbered losers in brisk trades. Meanwhile, at the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the S&P CNX Nifty index ended with a gain of 6.55 points at 954.75.
