Shares of Pokarna hit the upper circuit of 20 per cent to close at Rs 33 on news that the company has started production at its engineering stone division (ESD) at Visakhapatnam.
The stock opened at Rs 29.75 and made an intraday high of Rs 33. The trading volumes were 5,782 shares with over 96 per cent of the shares delivered. The scrip made a 52-week high of Rs 125 (May 22, 2008) and a low of Rs 22.05 (March 17, 2009).
