Shares of Polaris Software rose 12.91 per cent to Rs 68.20 on announcement of its fourth-quarter results. While the net profit increased 79 per cent to Rs 130.71 crore y-o-y, revenues rose 25 per cent to Rs 1,377.95 crore in the quarter ended March 2009. The stock opened at Rs 63.15 and made an intraday high and low of Rs 71 and Rs 61.5 respectively.
The counter witnessed trading volumes of 4.4 million shares vis-à-vis the two-week average of 1.5 million shares. The scrip made a 52-week high of Rs 116 (April 23, 2008) and a low of Rs 26.3 (January 13, 2009).
