Potato extends gains on tight supply

Potato extended gains for the second day

Potato futures for May surged by Rs 24.90, or 2.72% to Rs 941.50 per quintal in 216 lots.     

At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the April contract climbed by Rs 20.10, or 2.19% to Rs 938 per quintal in 91 lots.

Potato extended gains for the second day.

Prices surged and were largely supported by tight supplies from producing belts against increased demand.
