Potato extends gains, up 0.9% on strong demand

Restricted supplies helped the gains

Potato futures for April traded higher by Rs 7.30, or 0.9%, to Rs 812.60 per quintal in 12 lots.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, the March contract also inched up by Rs 4.90, or 0.6%, to Rs 820 per quintal in 45 lots.

Pick-up in spot demand, restricted supplies helped the gains, analysts said.
