Potato futures prices declined by Rs 9.90 per quintal trading today, largely on increased arrivals in the spot market against subdued demand.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, potato for March contract declined by Rs 9.90, or 1.32 per cent, to Rs 738.10 per quintal, with a trade volume of just one lot.

The potato for delivery in April contract also moved down by Rs 6.80, or 1.19 per cent, to Rs 728.50 per quintal, with a trade volume of just one lot.

Analysts said adequate stocks at the physical markets following increased supplies against sluggish demand mainly pulled down the potato futures prices.
