Potato futures prices declined by Rs 3.50 to Rs 475 per quintal today on sluggish demand in the spot market against adequate supply.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, potato for delivery in July declined by Rs 3.50, or 0.73%, to Rs 475 per quintal, with a business turnover of 154 lots.
The June contract shed Re 1, or 0.19%, to Rs 523.50 per quintal, with a trade volume of 68 lots.
Traders said the fall in potato futures prices was mostly due to increased supplies in the physical market against sluggish demand.
