In restricted activity, potato prices fell by Rs 11.70 to Rs 476.50 per quintal in futures trade today as traders off-loaded their positions, on the back of a weak spot market trend.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, potato for delivery in June fell by Rs 11.70, or 2.40%, to Rs 476.50 per quintal, with a business turnover of 117 lots.

Market analysts said adequate stocks position following increased arrivals from the producing regions in the physical market against subdued demand mainly pulled down potato futures prices.
