Potato futures prices today rose further by Rs 1.20 to Rs 741 per quintal on rising spot demand driven by the ongoing 'Navratri' festival.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, potato for delivery in March added Rs 1.20, or 0.16%, to Rs 741.20 per quintal in business turnover of six lots.

April potato edged up by 60 paise, or 0.09%, to Rs 705 per quintal in three lots.

Market analysts said rising demand in the spot market, triggered by the auspicious 'Navratri' festival, pushed up potato futures prices.
