Restricted arrivals from producing regions also supported the upside.

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Potato futures prices rose by 0.77% to Rs 880 per quintal today on increased spot demand.

Besides, restricted arrivals from producing regions also supported the upside.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, potato prices for delivery in July rose by Rs 6.80, or 0.77%, to Rs 880 per quintal, with a trading volume of 29 lots.

Potato prices for delivery in current month June also moved up by Rs 2.40, or 0.26%, to Rs 924 per quintal, with a trading volume of 19 lots.

Analysts said increased demand in the spot market against tight supplies from producing regions mainly pushed up potato prices at futures trade.
