Power Finance dips 3% post Q4 results

Power Finance Corporation (PFC) is trading 3% lower at Rs 241 after reporting marginal 1% rise in its net profit of Rs 607 crore for the quarter ended March 2011 over the corresponding quarter of previous fiscal. However, total income increased by 24% to Rs 2,623 crore on y-o-y.

For the year ended March 2011, the finance company's net profit rose 11% to Rs 2,619 crore on back of 26% rise in total income to Rs 10,128 crore over the year ended March 2010.

The stock opened at Rs 245 and hit a low of Rs 239 on the NSE. A total 398,751 shares have changed hands on the counter till 1139 hours.
