The Sensex is languishing in the negative terrain and is now at 15,544, down 120 points.
The NSE Nifty is at 4,620, down 42 points.
ACC and ITC have slipped 3% to Rs 788 and Rs 226, respectively.
HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel, HDFC, BHEL and Reliance Infrastrcuture have declined over 2% each to Rs 2,420, Rs 415, Rs 1,438, Rs 2,267 and Rs 1,122, respectively.
Maruti has gained 6% at Rs 1,525.
Tata Motors has advanced 4.5% to Rs 511. Hero Honda is up 1% at Rs 1,530.
The market breadth is positive, out of 2,806 shares traded, 1,286 have advanced and 1,440 have declined so far on the BSE.
The BSE Auto index has advanced 2% to 6,007. On the other hand the power and the realty indices have slipped around 1.5% each.
