Praj Inds gains on strong Q2 earnings

Praj Industries gained around 4% on BSE after its consolidated net profit surged 301% to Rs 24.87 crore

Praj Industries has gained around 4% on BSE after its consolidated net profit surged 301% to Rs 24.87 crore in the July-September 2014 quarter compared to Rs 6.26 crore in the same quarter last fiscal.

Total income from operations surged 36.45% to Rs 265.04 crore during the second quarter compared to Rs 194.24 crore in the quarter ended September 2013.

Among other key developments, Praj Industries has succesfully commissioned a brewery in Namibia, Africa for a global brewing major and the other important brewery project in Myanmar is also nearing completion.
 
"Praj continues to work upon internal and external levers for growth in various businesses. We have reported an encouraging operational performance during the first half of the fiscal. We will continue to focus on delivering sustained growth going forward", said Gajanan Nabar, CEO & MD, Praj Industries.
 
 
Praj Industries offers innovative solutions to significantly add value in bio-ethanol, alcohol, brewery plants, process equipment and water and wastewater treatment systems for customers worldwide.
 
The stock opened at Rs 66 and has hit a high of Rs 67.40 while around 13 lacs shares have changed hands on BSE and NSE combined, so far.
