Prices of select commodities up

Prices of moong dal, urad dal, sugar, wheat and maida moved up, while that of other commodities remained unaltered in the wholesale foodgrains market here during the week under review.

Urad dal opened the week at Rs 7,600 from Saturday's closing rate of Rs 7,500 and settled today at Rs 7,600 with the gain of Rs 100 per quintal.

Moong dal rose by Rs.300 per quintal to Rs.7,500 from last week's closing rate of Rs.7,200.
    
Sugar edged up by Rs.30 per quintal to Rs.2,700 from Rs.2,670.
    
Wheat moved to Rs.1,900 from 1,850.
    
Maida (90 kg) went up by Rs.50 to Rs.1,750 from last week's closing rates Rs.1,700.
