 Moving in a range of 69 points, the Sensex hit a intra-day high of 5246.74 points and a low of 5178.22 points.

 Mid-cap counters witnessed good buying interest leading to the market breadth being positive with companies advancing (982) outpacing declines (474).

 Turnover on the cash segment of BSE was at Rs 2386.97 crore and that on the NSE was at Rs 5036.37 crore. Derivatives turnover at Rs 9808.07 crore on the NSE was lower than that recorded on Tuesday.

 Foreign institutional investors were net buyers at Rs 286 crore and mutual funds were net buyers at Rs 20.2 crore on Tuesday.
