The stocks of companies engaged in tin production or in manufacture of products based on tin had a promising run in the last three months on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
 
The share price of Balmer Lawrie and company witnessed a meagre gain from Rs 81.25 on August 2, to today's close of Rs 147.69, up 81.72 per cent on the Bombay Stock exchange (BSE).
 
During the same period the stock price of Hindustan Tin Works decreased from Rs 12.88 to Rs 23.10 up 79.34 per cent while Oriental Containers gained from Rs 25.20 to Rs 44.45, up 76.38 per cent.
 
Shetron stocks moved from Rs 8.91 to Rs 29.10 in three months, up 226.59 per cent and Infomedia rose from Rs 93.42 to Rs 148.94 up 59.43 per cent.
 
Metal Coatings (India) rose from Rs 5.76 to Rs 16.30 up by a whopping 182.98 per cent.
