Provisional: Markets end lower seventh straight day

Rate sensitives lead the decline on concerns of rate hike by the central bank

Markets extended losses to end lower for the seventh straight day with rate sensitives leading the decline as double-digit consumer price inflation raised worries of a further rate hike by the central bank.

The 30-share Sensex ended down 67 points at 20,214 and the 50-share Nifty ended down 23 points at 5,995.
