Q3 numbers queer the pitch for Castrol

 The company recorded a 27 per cent fall in third quarter net profit. The scrip of the lubricants company has moved in the Rs 190-200 range over the past few weeks.

 For Q3 ended September 2003, Castrol reported 27 per cent fall in net profit at Rs 28.56 crore, as compared to a net profit of Rs 39.17 crore in the corresponding period last year. Total income increased slightly by 0.9 per cent to Rs 285.98 crore, from Rs 283.42 crore.
