Rallis surges 6% on Q1 net profit

Bombay Stock ExchangeRallis has surged 6% in early trades on the back of 59% surge in Q1 net profit to Rs 23.12 crore.

The stock now trades at Rs 154, and has seen trades of around 47,000 shares on the NSE in the first few minutes.

According to reports, the results were strong mainly on the back of contribution by its newly-acquired subsidiary Metahelix Life Science.

The company reported a 46.54% rise in its revenues for the quarter at Rs 297.51 as against Rs 203.02 crore in the year-ago period.
